As you have likely seen, our community has grown and we have a new author amongst our ranks - Uncle Drew. Before he used to counsel me on topics, to put it in his words:

My friend Joe Hayes and I had plenty of conversations about these topics before, but I have refrained from picking up the pen and just offered advice

That is until he finally decided to pick up the pen himself, and we could not be more happy he did. We have spoken great lengths about unity, and it is with that spirit I must take his advice and denounce one of my previous pieces calling Joe Biden Chairman Biden. Many on the left refused to give President Trump due respect, but we will not do the same thing here as we aim to turn the page and move forward together.

Abraham Lincoln once paraphrased a passage in the Bible, "A house divided against itself cannot stand." If we are to forge ahead we must end the vitriol each side exhibits towards the other. Some satire now and then is healthy, as we all need to have some humor, but I understand that for those who do like President Biden our rhetoric and using such nick names will not help us in reaching across the aisle.

The issues confronting us today will take all of us to solve. Left, right, and center. Some time ago I had read "How to Win Friends and Influence People," by Dale Carnegie, and I firmly believe it should be mandatory reading. We need to start being more cordial and learn to work together.

Should anybody ever wander to our blog and disagree with a point we make or stance we take, we welcome you to write us an opposing piece and we are happy to publish it. We are striving to bring people together and provoke intellectual curiosity, and we need you to accomplish that feat.

So in places where President Biden can make America and the world a better place, we hope he succeeds, but we will not back down from debating the issues and making points of criticism where necessary.
